He was also actively involved in uploading and maintaining his page on MySpace where the number of his friends had already hit fifty thousand. While performing at one of the venues, an audience member recorded a video and sent it to Geffen Records. Impressed by his music, the company signed a contract with him and from this platform, he released his first album. The release of his first album had already made a mark on the music industry that by the time he released his second album, he had already established a fan base amongst the general music listeners in the US.
