He also penned his personal experiences regarding his visit to Israel in a book of the same name which was released in 2oo1. The year 2008 saw him touring with two acclaimed standup comedians Eugene Mirman and Andy Kindler in Stand Uppity: Comedy that makes You Feel  Better about Yourself and Superior to Others. In 2009 he landed an opportunity to run another one-man show called Scorching the Earth. The same year Breakroom Live with Maron & Seder also surfaced. Since the show was conducted in a very casual way it helped Maron just be himself. The year 2009 also marks the emergence of his highly successful podcast WTF with Marc Maron garnering positive reviews from Entertainment Weekly and New York Times.
