They had twins, a boy and a girl, in 2007 named Maximillian David Muniz and Emma Maribel Muniz. Anthony was exposed to Latin music and contemporary pop at a very early age by his father. Aged 12, Marc and his sister were discovered by Davis Harris who produced demos and commercials. He hired Anthony to sing background to several of his productions. Marc Anthony is famous for his salsa which is a Cuban-derived genre of music with touches from other genres of music.

Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has awarded Marc Anthony with many gold as well as platinum certifications. In 1998 he won his first Grammy for Best Latin/Tropical performance for Contra La Corriente. In 1999 he won another Song of the Year Grammy for Dimelo. In May 2010 came out with his latest album Iconos – a ballad Spanish album produced by Anthony himself and Julio Reyes. In the album Anthony has given his voice and style to the classics of Juan Gabriel, Jose Luis Perales, Roberto Carlos and Jose Jose La Mafia. Marc Anthony has released eleven studio albums. He made a cameo appearance in the class film Carlito’s Way starring Al Paccino. He also made a guest appearance in the TV series Hawthorne in 2010.

After performing at the Radio y Musica Convention in 1993 from his first album Otra Notra Anthony toured the Americas including an opening slot for Blades which was the first step towards becoming an icon. He is also the first solo salsa artist to perform at the Royal Square Garden. He also did a concert tour with his present wife Jennifer Lopez in Fall of 2007 which only visited North America. Marc Anthony also performed at the 30 years celebrations of Michael Jackson in 2001. At present he is touring promoting Iconos. From the release in May 2010 he toured extensively for the promotion of his album performed in Equador, Peru, Mexico, Columbia, New York and Florida. He performed in Florida after which he will be performing in Atlantic City, New Jersey at the Mark Etess Arena at The Taj Mahal followed by Alstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
