Lynyrd Skynyrd Littleton Tickets

Lynyrd Skynyrd has been one of the strongest acts on the scene since their debut in 1973. Singing mainly in the southern rock genre, the band was at its peak during the years 1973 to 1977. High school friends and band mates Roonie Van Zant, Garry Rossington and Allen Collins formed the initial line-up of the band that gave hits such as Free Bird and Sweet Home Alabama. However, a tragic plane crash in 1977 cut their golden period short. The band regrouped in 1987 and since then, they have managed to live up to the legacy of their past. Fans can catch them live as they hit the road this summer. Lynyrd Skynyrd Littleton tickets are now available.

Lynyrd Skynyrd is a southern rock band that made its debut in the mainstream industry with their 1973 self titled studio album release. An instant hit among fans and critics, the band went on to release a total of fourteen studio albums, and thirty smash hit singles with classic songs such as Free Bird, Sweet Home Alabama, What’s Your Name, and Saturday Night Special. Today, the band stands as an inductee of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, is listed among the Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Artists of All Time,” and their song Free Bird is listed among the greatest guitar solos of all time.

The current line-up of the band includes Johnny Van Zant on lead vocals, Gary Rossington on guitars, Rickey Medlocke on drums and back-up vocals, and Johnny Colt on bass. Throughout the years, the line-up has gone through major changes. Initially, the band consisted of school friends Gary Rossington, Allen Collins, and Ronnie Van Zant. Their first release propelled them to fame and till 1977, they were one of the hottest acts around. However, an air crash in 1977 killed three of the main men, including the phenomenal singer Ronnie Van Zant. The band went on a hiatus and returned with Van Zant’s younger brother taking the lead vocalist spot. Since then, the band has been able to recreate the sound of the original line-up.

This year, the band goes on a North American tour to reconnect with fans and celebrate their journey. To catch them live, purchase Lynyrd Skynyrd Littleton tickets today.
