Chicken-N-Beer his third album did not make an impact to its audiences which Ludacris’s music promises, despite of the fact that the album featured guest appearances from Playaz Circle, Snoop Dogg, 8Ball & MJG, Lil’ Flip, I-20, Lil Fate and Shawnna. In the fall of the same year he came back with the bang, with his single ‘Stand Up’ that was taken as sound track on the movie ‘You Got Served’. It is his biggest hit till today as the single hit the Billboard Hot 100 on number 1 position. In 2004 he released another single ‘Splash Waterfalls’ which also became a hit. Both ‘Stand Up’ and ‘Splash Waterfalls’ was taken in his album Chicken-N-Beer.
His single ‘Yeah!’ got him his first Grammy Award. In 2004 his fourth album was released with the title ‘The Red Light District’ showed the mature side of him. His single ‘Get Back’ got him more attention which was followed by another single ‘Number One Spot’. In 2006 his album ‘ Release Therapy’ was released that made him a place at number 9 spot in an issue of XXL. The album was a huge success since beginning since 309,000copies were sold in the first week of its release. His first single ‘Money Maker’ reached at number one position on BET program 106 & Park. The second single was ‘Grew Up a Screw Up ‘featuring Young Jeezy. And his third single ‘Runaway Love’ reached number one in U.S Billboard Hot Rap Tracks and also a him a Best Collaboration award in 2007 BET awards. This year Ludacris changed his style.
In 2008 his new album ‘Theater of the Mind’ was released that peaked Billboard 200 on number five. 213,493 copies were sold of this album on first week of its release. His seventh album was released in 2010 with the title ‘Battle of the Sexes’. The album was certified as gold and reached the number 1 position on chart. The album sold 137,000 copies in its first week of release. Currently Ludacris is working on another album ‘Ludaversal’ that will be released this year.
Apart from associated with the music world Ludacris also appeared in movies like ‘The Wash’, ‘2 Fast 2 Furious’, ‘Lil’ Pimp’, ‘Paper Chasers’, ‘Crash’, ‘Hustle & Flow’, ‘The Heart of the Game’, ‘ American Hustle’, ‘Fred Claus’, ‘ RocknRolla’, ‘Max Payne’, ‘Ball Don’t Lie’, ‘Gamer’ ‘Repo Men’ and ‘Fast Five’.
