Date & Time

LP is one of the most sought after indie rock names around today. Blessed with a beautiful voice, LP came to mainstream attention by dropping hit songs like, Good With You, Damage is Done, Wasted Love and Follow Me Down. She has now lined up special shows just for you. Book your LP tickets now if you can’t wait to watch her perform live.

Rising to fame

LP grew up listening to legends like, Pat Benatar, Maggie Bell and The Runaways. It was their music which influenced her to start singing and she took a flight to New York City. That is where her amazing vocal talents caught the attention of Cracker’s frontman, David Lowery. He approached her and asked if she could feature on the band’s single, Cinderella. LP agreed and the song appeared as a hidden track on Cracker’s fourth studio effort, ‘Gentleman’s Blues.’ Lowery later returned the favor by producing LP’s debut album, ‘Heart-Shaped Scar’ which was issued by Koch Records in 2001. The record consisted of eleven tracks and was approved by AllMusic.

LP then began to jot down ideas for her second album and contacted Songwriters Hall of Famer, Linda Perry. Perry helped her complete the record and ‘Suburban Sprawl & Alcohol’ came out in 2004. It contained a song, Wasted which was used as the opening theme for the second and third seasons of the teen drama television series, ‘South of Nowhere.’

Taking a break from recording career

In 2006, LP made her presence felt at South by Southwest and sparked a bidding war amongst record companies who all wanted to sign her. Eventually, Island Def Jam Music Group signed her to a contract but due to creative differences, she left the label and joined SoBe Entertainment in 2007. In the same year, one of her songs titled, Love Will Keep You Up All Night was recorded and released by the Grammy winning band, Backstreet Boys.

LP then began to focus more on writing songs for her fellow artists. She penned down tracks like, Cheers (Drink to That) for Rihanna, Fingerprint for Leona Lewis, Beautiful People for Christina Aguilera, Shine Ya Light for Rita Ora, Tidal Wave for Karmin and Human for Cher Lloyd.

After a gap of a few years, LP decided to resume her recording career and on April 24, 2012, she dropped her first extended play, ‘Into the Wild: Live at EastWest Studios.’ The EP climbed to the sixth spot on the Heatseekers Albums chart and also received great reviews from the critics.

Forever for Now

A couple of years later, LP came out with her third studio record, ‘Forever for Now.’ Rob Cavallo, who had previously worked with many prolific bands like, Linkin Park, Goo Goo Dolls, Black Sabbath, My Chemical Romance and the Dave Matthews Band, was the producer of this album. It received three and a half stars out of five from American Songwriter and featured a song, Into the Wild which was used in a TV commercial for Citibank.

Lost On You and tour

LP then started to pen down songs for her next studio project. She ended up writing ten songs and released, ‘Lost On You’ through Vagrant Records on December 9, 2016. The album turned out to be a big success in European countries and went platinum in France and Poland. Moreover, it landed at the seventeenth spot on the UK Albums chart and was composed of ten songs out of which the title-track was certified diamond by the SNEP.

LP has shared new tour dates. She is scheduled to kick off her trek with a show at the Ace of Spades in Sacramento. After that, LP will go on to perform in main cities including, San Francisco, Seattle and Portland. Book your LP tickets as early as possible because fans are rushing to get them.
