The Dirty Dozen Brass Band is also one of the headliners of the Louisiana Swamp Romp and it is a New Orleans jazz and R&B group that has been active since 1977. Since its debut, it has called many a record label home including Columbia Records, Mammoth Records and Concord Jazz Records. Its members today are Gregory Davis on vocals and trumpet, Roger Lewis on soprano sax and baritone, Kevin Harris on tenor saxophone, Terence Higgins on drums, Jake Eckert on guitar, Efrem Towns on trumpet and flugelhorn and Kirk Joseph on the sousaphone. It is one of the pioneers of the New Orleans R&B scene and the group behind the revolutionary New Orleans brass style that has since then influence many brass bands. It has performed all over the US and in front of groups such as the Rolling Stones. It has also been reviewed all over the media by the likes of USA Today and Times. It has also gone on world tours, performing in Europe at events such as the Netherlandsís Groningen Festival.
