Wolf Trap, organizers of the Louisiana Swamp Romp, is widely known as America’s National Par for the Performing Arts. It is a renowned center, both locally and nationally, whereas the performing arts has concerned and has launched a number of programs and artistic projects to this end. In this sense, it is also unique because it features performances from all genres of music and performing arts; an all in one ballet company, stage company and symphony orchestra. Allan Toussaint, one of the three headliners at the Louisiana Swamp Romp, is a famous R&B artist who has written songs that have been performed by the likes of Elvis Costello, The Who, The Rolling Stones, The Band, Paul McCartney and Jerry Garcia amongst many. He is from New Orleans, Louisiana and has been active in the world of R&B since 1955. He is a singer, a musician who plays the piano, a composer, an arranger and a record producer. He has been signed onto a number of record labels including RCA Victor Records and Warner Bros. Records. He is widely hailed today as one of the most influential R&B artists and his songs have become world famous, being covered by many other artists. His hits include Working in the Coalmine, Fortune Teller, Ride Your Pony, Play Something Sweet (Brickyard Blues), Everything I Do Gonna Be Funky, Southern Nights, I'll Take a Melody and Mother-in-Law. He has also been inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
 
The Dirty Dozen Brass Band is also one of the headliners of the Louisiana Swamp Romp and it is a New Orleans jazz and R&B group that has been active since 1977. Since its debut, it has called many a record label home including Columbia Records, Mammoth Records and Concord Jazz Records. Its members today are Gregory Davis on vocals and trumpet, Roger Lewis on soprano sax and baritone, Kevin Harris on tenor saxophone, Terence Higgins on drums, Jake Eckert on guitar, Efrem Towns on trumpet and flugelhorn and Kirk Joseph on the sousaphone. It is one of the pioneers of the New Orleans R&B scene and the group behind the revolutionary New Orleans brass style that has since then influence many brass bands. It has performed all over the US and in front of groups such as the Rolling Stones. It has also been reviewed all over the media by the likes of USA Today and Times. It has also gone on world tours, performing in Europe at events such as the Netherlands’s Groningen Festival.
