Formed in 2000 in San Angelo, the band Los Lonely Boys puts together a rare blend of rock 'n roll, country, brown eyed soul and Tejano to play a style that they like to call "Texan rock 'n roll". The Boys adopted this style naturally whilst being raised in their home state of Texas. The three siblings Henry, Jojo and Ringo Garza, picked up on their father's tradition, who was also a part of a band with his own siblings. They play guitar, bass and drums respectively, with all three of them being vocalists. The Lonely Boys worked together to come out with two self-released albums before signing with a label after moving to Nashville in the '90s. Their resulting self-titled album, 'Los Lonely boys' garnered much attention. It went so far as to be certified two times Platinum. 'Heaven' topped the Adult Contemporary Chart at number one, and reached number sixteen on the famous Billboard Hot 100. In 2005, the song won Los Lonely Boys a Grammy for the ‘Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal’. In 2006, "Onda" and "More Than Love" were nominated for Grammy Awards. It's easy to see that the Los Lonely Boys' list of achievements is large; it's no wonder that their live shows are hits with both loyal fans and first-timers.
The Los Lonely Boys have recorded a song with the world famous Carlos Santana titled 'I Don't Wanna Lose Your Love'. In 2007, the Boys recorded a cover of John Lennon's 'Whatever Gets You Thru the Night' as part of Amnesty International's 'Make Some Noise' Project which campaigned for human rights. Their cover was number six on disc one of the album which was compiled to raise awareness of the crisis in Darfur and to help alleviate it. Not only do the Los Lonely Boys rock out and top charts, they're no strangers to humanitarian work, either. On October 23rd, 2008 the Los Lonely Boys opened game two of the 2008 World Series by singing the national anthem. This was a milestone in their career as it helped them fall under the eyes of audiences nationwide.
In March of 2009, the Boys left Epic Records and signed with Playing In Traffic Records, an Austin-based label. Afterwards they made an appearance at the Austin Music Awards at which they were awarded the coveted title of the ‘Best Rock Band’. After their first studio album hit the shelves, they released nine more albums, three of which were live albums, one holiday album and a compilation album. Their holiday album reached number forty on the US Holiday chart in 2008, the year of the release. Such major accomplishments make Los Lonely Boys a band that you can't overlook.
