In 1991, Kravitz produced another album for French artist, “Vanessa Paradi,” and played number of instruments for the album. After his divorce with Lisa Bonet, Kravitz released his second album Mama Said that portrayed his depression over the break up. The album reached the top forty spot and gave Kravitz his top single “It Ain’t Over til it’s over,” that got to the second spot on Billboard chart. The album also incorporated various collaborations with artists including “Slash,” and “Sean Lennon”.
In 1993, the Lenny Kravitz got the opportunity to work with his idols “Curtis Mayfield,” and “Al Green”. He also appeared on Mick Jagger’s Wandering Spirit as well as worked with Aerosmith. During the same year, he released his third album Are You Gonna Go My Way that secured the twelfth position on Billboard 200 and won him a BRIT Award. His next album Circus (1995) managed to reach at number ten on Billboard with singles like “Rock and Roll is Dead”. Kravitz introduced digital instruments for the first time on his album 5 (1998) which opened doors to even wider listeners. The album was awarded a multi-platinum status and earned Kravitz his initial Grammy Awards. Kravitz released four more albums; however, his most notable album was his Greatest Hits (2000) that sold over eleven million copies worldwide.
