Kermit Ruffins Tickets
Picking up the Trumpet as his instrument of choice back when he was still studying in 8th grade, Kermit Ruffins has always had a flair for New Orleans jazz music. During the time when the other kids of his age were hooked to the likes of Michael Jackson, Madonna and Bruce Springsteen, Ruffins found his idol in the New Orleans Jazz veteran Louis Armstrong. Apart from Armstrong, Ruffins also took inspiration from Louis Jordan when it comes to jazz music.

Ever since he picked up jazz music as his genre, Ruffins has been showing nothing but passion in what he does the best and what he loves the most. He has been playing trumpet for more than three decades now, and with each of his performance, his love and passion for the jazz music shows itself. Kermit Ruffins also performs with numerous jazz bands from time to time, and most composes the songs himself. He also lends his vocals to the tunes that he has composed. Apart from being a celebrated jazz recording artist, Ruffins live performances are nothing less than a spectacle themselves. He enchants and inspired his audience with each of his live performances, and experiment with his tunes that he has been practicing for all his life. This is why Kermit Ruffins tickets are worth every penny.
After picking up the trumpet while he was still in his Junior High, Ruffins co-founded his very first band back in 1983 by the name of Rebirth Brass Band and that was during his time at the Clark High School. The following year, Ruffins recorded for the very first time alongside his band. For its music, the band itself took its inspiration from yet another veteran brass band by the name of the Dirty Dozen Brass Band. Dirty Dozen was known for fusing the elements of bebop and funk in its own brand of New Orleans music. Initially, Rebirth busked around the local area before it finally started to perform in various local venues. Soon after, the group was hired as the house band at the Glass House.
In 1992, Ruffins laid foundation to another band, a jazz quintet this time, called the Barbecue Swingers. Ruffins chose this name for his band due to the fact that he is known for cooking Barbeque during his live shows. The quintet has been performing live regularly at the Vaughan’s Bar since the 1990s. The group’s show has now become a regular attraction for both the visitors and the locals of the area. One of his live recordings, Live at Vaughan’s was also recorded at one of his performances at the Vaughan’s Bar. The record was released on Basin Street Records. Apart from his first three recordings, all of his recordings have been released on Basin Street Records since 1998’s release the Barbecue Swingers Live. In 2003, the group also received a nomination at the Big Easy Entertainment Awards. Apart from that, the group also won an Offbeat Award for the category of Best Traditional Jazz Band or Performer.
Ruffin also plays himself on the HBO series by the name of Treme which premiered on HBO back on April 11, 2010. Quite recently, Kermit Ruffins has released yet another studio album by the title of We Partyin’ Traditional Style which came out under Basin Street Records in 2013. Apart from his regular live performances in New Orleans, Kermit Ruffins has been supporting his new studio effort through concerts for which Kermit Ruffins tickets sold very fast.
