Peaking at number five on the Billboard 200, the album moves effortlessly through family, love, heartbreak, faith and uncertainty. Earlier in 2011, the 25-year old Long Islander came out with his first mixtape titled “Scattered Thoughts Vol. 1” and went on to release three more. Slowly he built on a devoted fanbase and the star has often called his fans one of his biggest inspirations. Passionate, creative and artistic, his supporters provided him the platform to launch his singing career.
With “The Human Condition” Bellion Finally Gives Voice to His Words
Blending flawless singing with powerful lyrics, “The Human Condition” is more of Bellion’s life story. Opening the album with “He is the Same”, the singer croons about his humble beginnings and how he will not change despite having millions in his bank. Next on the track-list is “80’s Films”, which reminisces about old times and is a nostalgic number especially for those who grew up in that era.
Jon Bellion adds depth to the collection with the emotionally charged “All Time Low”. The beautifully penned number is performed with full force and speaks to your heart. Continuously changing the rhythm, he introduces the listeners to the upbeat “New York Soul, Pt. II” that pays homage to his birthplace New York. Dropping in a funky bassline, Bellion shows his true musicianship in its purest form. With “Fashion” the visionary once again goes deep, composing an emotional and heart-wrenching ballad.
Overall, “The Human Condition” is a bold effort as Jon fearlessly maneuvers through various styles. An incredible fusion of R&B, pop and hip-hop, his flair for storytelling and expressive music has earned him commercial and critical acclaim.
