Joe Bonamassa is a guitar mastermind who grew up with the dream to play music that’s similar to legends like Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix. Hailing from Utica, Bonamassa first heard of Stevie Ray Vaughan at the age of four and was instantly inspired by his high-powered playing. He could play blues and most of Vaughan’s tunes to perfection even before he started losing his baby teeth. In 1989, at the age of eight he opened for the world acclaimed blues legend, B. B. King. By the time Bonamassa was twelve, he was already playing regularly at Upstate New York.

He then started playing with Bloodline, a famous 90s band that consisted of other known musicians, Berry Oakley, Waylon Krieger and Erin Davis. With the band, he released a self-titled album which produced hit single “Stone Cold Hearted.” In October 2000, he debuted as a solo artist and released his first studio album “A New Day yesterday.” To support the album, he went on a tour with Eric Czar and Kenny Kramme. Upon returning from the tour, he released his chart peaking album “So, It’s Like That” in August 2002. So far, Bonamassa has released a total of ten studio albums and six live albums.

Billed as one of greatest guitarists, Bonamassa is currently on his 2014 tour and will be making a stop in Baltimore in fall. To catch him perform live, fans can get Joe Bonamassa Baltimore tickets to get the seats booked at the Lyric Opera House in advance.
