His undeniably mature acting, coupled with a likable persona that has charmed moviegoers and colleagues alike, ensures Bridges definitely has style with the substance. Jeffrey Leon “Jeff Bridges definitely has acting in his blood. He was born in 1949 to writer and actress Dorothy Simpson and actor Lloyd Bridges, a veteran of 150 films and popular TV series ‘Sea Hunt’. Jeff Bridges starred in his first role at four months in The Company She Keeps. Bridges attended University High School in his native Los Angeles. His major acting acumen, however, developed during his coaching at New York’s Herbert Berghof Studio, whose list of alumni also include Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, and Barbra Streisand. Bridges went on to play roles in his father’s ventures, yet his first big role in Hollywood came with 1971’s The Last Picture Show. Not only was the film a major success, but Bridges also won popular and critical approval. He managed to work in a few more films, but his laidback demeanor meant he never took the profession seriously. That was until he starred with master actors Lee Marvin, Robert Ryan and Frederic March in 1973’s The Iceman Cometh. The application and dedication of the veterans was riveting and Bridges decided to take acting seriously as a career.

After the success of Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, Jeff Bridges met future wife Susan Geston on the sets of Rancho Deluxe and they got married soon after. Over the next few decades, Bridges appeared in a wide variety of successful film roles. These ranged from mega-blockbuster film protagonist in King Kong, to intense drama lead in Fearless, to science fiction starrer for Tron and Starman, to arguably his most memorable role as a deadbeat unemployed slacker in The Big Lebowski. 2000 saw his first brush with music, when he sang Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire” over the opening credits of The Contender. His film roles over the next decade intensified, yet his involvement in music saw him take up the responsibility of singing five songs on the soundtrack of 2009’s smash-hit film Crazy Heart. While his mercurial lead acting won him awards aplenty, the film also featured songs by costars Colin Farrell, Robert Duvall and Ryan Bingham, among others. Following on, he performed in the We Are the World single and Neil Young’s annual concert before striking a deal with Blue Note Records. Crazy Heart soundtrack producer T-Bone Burnett has worked with him on his album.

Jeff Bridges has five Oscar nominations with one win under his belt. The Oscar win, along with a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award, came for his memorable role as a washed-up country musician in Crazy Heart (2009). Jeff Bridges has Best Actor nominations for 1974’s Starman and 2010’s True Grit, while he received Best Supporting Actor nominations for The Last Picture Show (1971), Thunderbolt and Lightfoot (1974), and The Contender (2000). Ryan Bingham, Rosanne Cash, Sam Phillips and Benji Hughes appear as guest vocalists on his album, Jeff Bridges. The album is set to contain Americana-themed country with edgy rock guitar riffs.

The warm and immensely capable reputation that precedes him will ensure Jeff Bridges Tickets keep selling. His album promotion so far, like shows in The Troubadour, has seen him come across as engaging and interactive with audiences, whom he has won over with his impeccable storytelling. San Rafael and Saratoga are the next stops.

Bridges’ larger-than-life personality has served him well in an industry of haughty egos, and his talent is showing through on various platforms. Already a screen legend, it is only natural that he makes the transition to delightful music-making smoothly. Jeff Bridges Tickets ensure that fans don’t miss out on his charisma when he swaggers into town.
