A Thousand Horses began when Bill Satcher and Michael Hobby started to write songs at the age of fifteen. The duo was later joined by Satcher’s cousin, Graham DeLoach and Atlanta native, Zach Brown which completed the group’s lineup. They were later signed by DGC/Interscope Records through which they released their debut EP, ‘A Thousand Horses’ in 2010 which was produced by the two time Grammy winner, Dave Cobb.
