While attending Milton Academy, Taylor met a fellow guitarist, Danny Kortchmar and the two began playing folk and blues music together. His first song on guitar was at the age of fourteen and a year later, in the summer of 1963, the two young guitarists started performing at coffeehouses. Soon they started to be recognized as “Jamie & Kootch.”
In his career spanning more than four decades, Taylor has released sixteen studio albums, of which “Greatest Hits” released in 1967 is considered to be his best-selling one so far. Even at the age of 65, he continues to sell out shows at all of the big venues around the world. He is a legend in its true sense.
