Since then, he has released over a dozen studio albums, seven compilation and live albums and around forty five singles. His discography boasts fourteen albums that charted among the Top 40 of the Billboard 200 including one chart-topper. His best work is the 1977 studio album Running on Empty that went seven times platinum while securing the number three spot on the Billboard 200.

 

In winter 2014, Jackson Browne released his latest and fourteenth studio album Standing in the Breach. The album debuted at number fifteen on the Billboard 200 while securing a position among the Top 40 on the UK Albums Chart. The ten track album consists of singles that are personal and political in nature. Highlighting among these are “The Birds of St. Marks,” “Leaving Winslow,” “Here” and Woody Guthrie’s “You Know the Night.”
