Hunter Hayes full name is Hunter Easton Hayes. He was born in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana in 1991. Hayes was a kid born with musical talent and got his first gift at the age two from his grandmother which was a toy accordion. By the time he was four years old he had already started appearing at various gatherings and even on national TV. He took part in popular shows like Rosie O’Donnell, Nickelodeon and Maury. He appeared on the kids talent show titled America’s Most Talented Kids and sang “Hey Good Lookin”, a hit song originally sung by the iconic country music singer Hank Williams. In 2008 Hayes moved from his hometown to the hub of country music Nashville, Tennessee. Here he was signed by Universal Music group as a lyricist. Hunter Hayes has won two American Country Awards in category of Single of the Year and Music Video of the Year for the song “Wanted’. He has also won a Teen Choice Award for Choice Male Country Artist and a Country Music Association Award for New Artist of the Year. He also received three Grammy Award nominations at the 55^th Annual Grammy Awards.  
 
In 2010 he collaborated with the hit country music band Rascal Flatts and wrote a song Play for the group. In the same year he managed to sign a recording contract with music giant Atlantic Records. In early 2011 he was an opening artist for best selling female country music lady Taylor Swift’s on her tour titled Speak Now World Tour. Hayes went on his own radio tour shortly after that, this tour ended after ten weeks. In October 2011 he released his debut album that was self-titled and released by Atlantic Nashville Records. This album was a stunner and raced to the #3 position on US Country charts and also managed to land at #17 on US Billboard. It sold over half a million copies earning a gold certification. The album included three hit singles namely Wanted, Storm Warning and Somebody’s Heartbreak. Both Storm Warning and Somebody’s Heart Break sold over a half a million copies each earning a gold status. Wanted till date remains the most popular song by Hayes, it was at #1 on US Country Airplay and US Country charts. It was the only single of Hayes that entered the Canadian Charts at #27. This song sold over two million copies in the US and one million copies in Canada earning a 2x platinum and platinum status respectively.
