Born on the 4th of February, 1977 in South Fallsburg, New York, United States, Gavin DeGraw has been working as a professional musician since the year 2001. Initially, he began to play in different clubs in Manhattan along with other musicians such as Lenny Revell and Andrew West, gaining a considerable amount of fan following in his early years. His big break occurred when one of his tracks, I Don't Want to Be was selected to be featured on one of the most popular teen television series of the United States, One Tree Hill as their theme song. The track has also been sung by numerous competitors in famous talent hunt shows such as Idol Norway, Idol Sweden, Canadian Idol, Australian Idol and American Idol in many different seasons of the shows.
Some other tracks of Gavin DeGraw which have gone on to achieve huge popularity include Chariot, Follow Through, and We Belong Together among many more. The latter appeared in a movie called Tristan and Isolde in the year 2006. DeGraw issued a record called Chariot Stripped in the year 2004, which was an acoustic album and was recorded live in a single take in the studio, giving the songs an original sound. His TV debut was made on a show called Last Call with Carson Daly.
