Festival Of Nations Tickets
Held for the very first in the city of Akron, Ohio back in the year 2010, the Festival of Nations brought forward an entirely new and unique experience for the people in the city of Akron as well as the ones living in the surrounding regions. Festival of Nations truly presented itself as an event with the true blend of various cultures not just from the country but for the rest of the world, hence the name Festival of Nations. The first ever edition of Akron’s Festival of Nations took place on March 6, 2010 at the Akron Civic Centre. Since the popularity of that first event, the Festival of Nations has transformed itself into an Akron city tradition and is held year after year at the Civic Centre. Festival of Nations tickets went out pretty quickly, as those people who’ve wanted to witness the arts and cultures of other countries, flocked at the Civic to be a part of the history in the making. So for those of them who wanted to gain firsthand experience of Mexico’s bright colors or the dances of Brazil, all they had to do was to come to the 2010 edition of Festival of Nations.

When held for the first time in 2010, Festival of Nations was the first event of its kind ever to be held in the city. This unique event was presented by Akron International Friendship in partnership with the Akron Civic Theatre. In 2010, the show enthralled audiences from various age groups and walks of life with the breath taking performances staged by eight different talented cultural groups who flaunted their music as well as their dances. That year’s lineup of acts included, Csardas Dance Company, Cleveland Chinese Music Ensemble, El Corazon de Mexico, The O’Hare Irish Dancers, Shri Kalaa Mandhir, Serpente Negra Capoeira and DanceIsraeli. The show also offered gourmet foods from different parts of the world as well.
Following the popularity of the show, Festival of Nations returned yet again in 2011 for its second run this time on January 17, 2011 on the Martin Luther King Day so even more families to part take in the event, and enjoy the arts and traditions of different parts of the world. The 2011 Festival of Nations’ lineup included Allegro Dance Company, Shri Kalaa Mandhir, The Lakota Nation Dancers, Krakowiaki Polish Folk Circle, The Gracanica Folklore Group, and O'Hare Irish Dancers; all that with the traditional food courts as well as interactive educational booths. Just like the previous edition of the show, it turned out to be huge success and attracted even larger number of attendees.
As the show returned in 2012 to be staged on February 18 featuring dance performances, educational booths and various other interactive activities, it was nothing but successful. The acts for that year featured African Soul International, The German Family Society Tanzgruppe Dancers, Pura Salsa, St. Nicholas Russian Youth Dancers, The Cleveland Contemporary Chinese Cultural Association Performance Troupe, the Celtic Eagle Pipe Band and The Gracanica Folklore Group. And like always, the show also offered foods from different parts of the world including Russia, Puerto Rico, Ireland, India and many more.
Now as the Festival of Nations returns for its upcoming edition at the Akron Civic Theatre on February 2, the excitement that awaits would definitely worth buying Festival of Nations tickets. This year’s lineup of acts at the Festival will include Celtic Eagle Pipe Band, O’Hare Irish Dancers, Tam Tam Magic, The German Tanzguppe, Shri Kalaa Mandhir, and The Elinopoula Dancers. This Celebration of peace and world arts will also engulf the attendees with various other interactive activities that are scheduled as well as the educational booths that will keep the whole experience informative as well. In addition to all that, traditional foods from different countries also await.
