Ernie Haase, Doug Anderson, Wayne Haun, David Griffith, Devin McGlamery, Zak Shumate, Kelly Vaughn and Ian Owens are the current group members of the Ernie and the Signature Band while Shane Dunlap, Ryan Seaton and Greg Ritchie are some of the previous group members.
Already notable because of his previous work, Ernie and the Signature Sound was an instant success because of the energetic performances and the fun in their music. The group presented Gospel music in a modern way which was the reason of their popularity but it also brought up controversies about the band but the fan support outdid the controversies. The group walked on the path of a successful career before going into a hiatus from which they came out on 2009. The remarkable Gospel music which was introduced by Ernie and the Signature Sound could not go upraised and so is the reason that they got awards and honors. Among a number of nominations for different awards, the group won the award for Southern Gospel Album of the Year for Get Away Jordan, Southern Gospel Recorded Song of the Year, again, for “Get Away Jordan” and another one for “Reason Enough” at the GMA Dove Awards. .
