Erasure is a band of English origins. It was formed in 1985 in London, England. The band is the brainchild of two highly talented people; Vince Clarke and Andy Bell. Despite the fact that the band did not do so well with the launch of its first three singles in the United Kingdom, it did, however, did well across various other countries across Europe and also ranked in well in Australia. It cemented its popularity and potential in its native country, however, with the release of its fourth single titled Sometimes. The song was a major hit all across the country and as a result it topped out at the number two ranking in the UK Top 40 charts. Their popularity, however, did not fade out afterwards but as a matter of fact, the band was able to successfully launch four consecutive chart topping albums in the UK after the third album. Each album was accredited with a number of hit songs which included Star from what is described by fans as Erasure’s best album to date; Wild!.
