What’s Happening on the End of the World Tour?
Avenged Sevenfold joining forces with Prophets of Rage and Three Days Grace pretty much sums up this multi-starrer concert series. According to M. Shadows, the “End of the World Tour” comes in response to the promise the band made to the fans.
The band will hit the stage with a full shebang and by inviting Prophets and Days Grace to the trek they are trying to create a festival type atmosphere. Teased to be a grand production, it will be presented as a cohesive rock show complete with huge inflatables and a giant inverted cube exhibiting spiraling starfield. A7X will also be using several LED screens playing 3D graphics that will give the audiences the feeling of watching a multi-dimensional movie.
The End of the World Tour Set-List
A7X is planning to bring an 18-song set to the stage, featuring at least four songs from their 7th album “The Stage”. Like they have been doing so in their previous concerts, the band is expected to open the event with the track “The Stage”, followed by their 2007 UK Rock chart topper “Afterlife”.
An even, eclectic blend of new songs and old hits is being teased by M. Shadows. Their earlier hits like “Waking The Fallen” and popular singles from the album “City Of Evil” are likely to make the set-list, churning up nostalgia for the diehard fans. Instead of performing the same songs again and again, A7X will dig out deeper numbers that the fans have been hoping to hear live for a long time.
The award-winning guitarists Synyster Gates and Zacky Vengeance will get the crowd going with their guitar solos on “Nightmare” and “Hail to the King”.
More on the Collaborators
First up, Prophets of Rage. A supergroup featuring rap-rock music, it brings together three members of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees, Rage Against the Machine. Along with Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk, Public Enemy’s Chuck D and DJ Lord, and Cypress Hill’s B-Real form this legendary ensemble.
A7X is particularly excited about the Prophets of Rage as they bring with them experience of the 90s – fusion of R&B, hip-hop soul and funk metal. Their inclusion has particularly spurred the sales of End of the World Tour tickets as the fans of that era are also looking forward to attend the upcoming concerts.
Prophets of Rage released their self-titled debut album in 2017 and it made it to the top 20 on the Billboard 200. Tom Morello released a statement earlier, showing his excitement on the collaboration. In his words, “Prophets of Rage and Avenged Sevenfold have always played absolutely uncompromising music. If you want your summer loud, raw and fearless we’ll see you in the pit”.
Fresh from releasing their 6th album “Outsider”, Three Days Grace is known for their power anthems like “Animal I Have Become”, “Pain” and “Never Too Late”. The band’s inclusion on the tour was mainly based on the energy they bring to the stage and the eclectic repertoire they boast of.
The “End of the World Tour” will hit multiple amphitheaters and theaters all across the US and in Toronto. Avenged Sevenfold plan to stretch and change their set-list from their earlier runs, while also adding stage shenanigans like pyrotechnics to create a magnificent ambiance.
