Elton John has decided that the time is right for him to stop touring. A career spanning over five and a half decades is about to come to an end but not before the legend’s three year long farewell tour.

The Beginnings

Elton John came out with his first studio album in June of 1969. The record was titled “Empty Sky” but it failed to make much of an impact. He then came out with a self-titled album in 1970 which managed to go gold. His next album “Tumbleweed Connection” hit the stores in October of 1970 and the record did very well. It went platinum in the US. Elton John’s time to shine had come.

A Legendary Journey

Elton John has come out with thirty three studio albums in total with the 1973 album “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” being his most successful one. It went eight times platinum in the US and made it to the Grammy Hall of Fame. John has won five Grammys and has been given the prestigious Kennedy Center Honors. He has sold well over a whopping three hundred million albums globally and has also won a Golden Globe and an Academy Award.

The time has now come for him to stop touring and while it might come as a shock to his fans, they do realize that he has earned the right to go out on his own terms. He will not be going without saying goodbye to the fans though. Book your Elton John Grand Rapids tickets and watch the icon live in concert, one last time at the Van Andel Arena.
