El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico is one of the most celebrated musical groups in Latin America. Meneame los mangos, their debut album released in 1963 topped in New York, Puerto Rico and Panama. La Verdeque, Usted se Dano, Sala Mala and Con La Mesa Al Caco are some of the songs from the album. Moreover, the album also gave the band an opportunity to be on El Show de Las 12, a popular television show in Puerto Rico. Arroz con Habichuela, 46 Aniversario: Toda Una Historia and Sin Salsa No Hay Paraiso are among the recent releases that hit the markets in 2006, 2008 and 2010. The album contained several genres such as latin, international, salsa, tropical and some Brazilian musical styles. Arroz con Habichuela included the songs Yo No Mendigo Amor, Como Tiembla el Alma, Te Veob Nena and Esa Mujer.
 
The 2008 release spawned hits like La Cara, Milonga Sentimental, Estas Liquido, La Rareza, Bacoso, Ojitos Chinos etc. The next album Sin Salsa No Hay Paraiso turned out to be another hit reassuring the band’s potential. Consequently bringing the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s salsa music to life again. Latin, salsa, tropical, latin pop and boogaloo are the genres the band focused on this time around. The album received an overwhelming response from the critics and fans alike. Thus, turning out to be as exciting and energetic as other releases. The title track has been the most popular one from this ten-track album. Some other hits are; Achilipu, Es La Mujer, Espuma y la ola la, El Problema Esta en el Coco, La Receta de Amor.
