The audiences are also introduced to Masetto who is a peasant and his fiancé, Zerlina. When Don Giovanni sets his eyes on Zerlina he is instantly attracted to her and starts making plans to separate her from Masetto so that he can seduce her as well. He succeeds in creating a misunderstanding between them as in the second act Zerlina is seen convincing her fiancé that she was never unfaithful. The story comes to a point where it’s Don Giovanni against all the people he has hurt and used, even Leporello. What happens to him, does he continue with his evil ways or looks for redemption? The Russian operatic singer Ildar Abdrazakov has reprised the role of Don Giovanni and he has certainly done justice to the character.
