The play is based on an old folktale which tells the story of a young and handsome prince who lives in a palace and has everything in the world. But his heart is stone cold and he lacks the ability to judge people for who they are within. He is shallow and ill mannered; and is punished for it by a beautiful witch who comes to him disguised as an ugly beggar seeking help. She places a curse on him such that he turns into a horrible beast and all in his palace turn into household objects. The curse can only be broken when he learns to love and be loved in return. This classic story has won the hearts of millions all around the world. All the Broadway show needs now is a fabulous cast and amazing costumes to give the story the life it deserves.
