After the tour, he began to work on his second album and released it in the year 1994. The album was titled Flesh, and also became immensely popular with the masses. He worked for some time time with Hut Records in the UK, but left them due to a lack of support from the company. Shortly after that, EMI Records availed the chance and made him a deal. He signed with the company and meanwhile, started to gain more and more fame all over Ireland. His live performances as well as videos were shown several times in the popular show called No Disco, hosted by Donal Dineen.

David released his third album in the year 1996. The album was named Sell, Sell, Sell and was recorded with EMI Records. For unknown reasons, Ireland and the United Kingdom restricted the release of this album even though demand for his music was at its peak in Europe at the time, with fans crying out for more David Gray music. His live performances were still his strong point, and he kept on performing for the audience in order to quench their never-ending thirst for his music, selling out venues every time he appeared on stage. His fourth and latest album was released in the year 1999 and was financed by David himself. It was called White Ladder, and its recording took place in a flat in London. In December of the same year, he went on another tour and performed all over Ireland, with sold out venues everywhere he performed.
