Chris is a multi-instrumentalist and can play over fourteen different instruments and also has quite an amazing voice. Chris Thile is an immensely talented musician who was born on the twentieth of February in 1981. He hails from the city of Oceanside in California. He started off his musical career back in the year 1989 and has been on the rise ever since. He has worked with two labels over the course of his career and they are Sugar Hill which he joined in 1994 and left in 2007 as well as Nonesuch to which he is currently under contract with.

Chris Thile also has seven collaborative albums which he worked on with different musicians and bands. Overall, his work has achieved him quite a bit of fame and success over the course of his career and continues to do so even today.
Chris Thile is also the recipient of many different musical awards and accolades that recognize his contribution to music. He has three Grammy Awards under his belt with the most recent one coming in 2013 for his collaborative album The Goat Rodeo Sessions as well as earning four other Grammy Awards nominations over the course of his career. He also won the MacArthur Fellowship grant in 2012 for his musical skills. He was Folk musician of the year for the British Broadcasting Corporation in the year 2007. He also has two International Bluegrass Music Association awards to his credit, one of which he won for his excellent mandolin playing skills.
