Chris Janson Tickets

A relatively new addition to the Country music scene, Chris Janson has been quick to establish himself as a commendable country artist. The singer-songwriter has an inspiring rags-to-relative-riches story which he communicates effectively to an audience through song. At the CMA Festival in May 2017, he began his set by sharing an intimate story about how he was homeless a few years ago, living out of his car in the same parking lot where he was performing tonight. Janson is all set to tour the nation for his 2017 leg, releasing newer dates across different states. Chris Janson tickets for multiple venues and centers are available now.

Who is Chris Janson

Chris Janson’s rise to fame is fairly well-documented in the public eye. He has mentioned on numerous occasions, in interviews as well as on stage, that just about a few years ago, he was living in his car, essentially homeless and without any real direction for his career or life. It was only after he moved to Nashville and tried his chance at Tootsies that he entered the music scene.

After nine years of playing on the Tootsies’ stage, he finally got his big break in 2015; a record deal. With his hit single “Buy me a boat”, Janson become a formidable force in the Country scene, hitting number ones on some charts and gaining a reputation outside of Nashville. Having defeated big names such as Sam Hunt and Taylor Swift on the charts, Janson is quickly gaining acclaim over these few short years.

However, the singer-songwriter does not imagine a celebrity-esque millionaire lifestyle for himself. Envisioning himself as much as a songwriter as a lead solo artist, the 31-year old wishes simply to pay the bills and provide a good life for his wife and two children.

Creative Vision

Chris Janson aims to be as authentic as possible with his singles and albums. In doing so, his work is really dynamic, with multiple narrators. His main aim is to defy the baggage that comes with being labeled “redneck or white trash.” His music is very dynamic, as a result, dealing with aspirations, life and culture of the Southern blue-collar tween.

While “Buy me a boat,” has all these lofty lottery-winning ambitions, it is by no degree an autobiographical account. However, the characters presented in the song are not conjured from Janson’s imagination. It is essentially a feel-good song which bluntly puts forward the desires of young blue-collar individuals.

However, there are some autobiographical tendencies in his other works. Before the big Tootsie’s gig, Janson was essentially homeless, living out of his car without any career or life direction. He only attempted Tootsie’s at a whim, really, one that landed him in a steady relationship, (eventually) a loving family, and a career path that he was passionate for. As a result, his recent songs have depicted a sure-footedness that resembles the growth of his career. The idea of valuing life and enjoying the moment is key to his latest single “Fix a Drink”. Janson puts it best in his own words; "I take this stuff day by day. I want to grow it the most natural way possible, and the fact that anybody would pay attention and come calling, I'm thankful for that," he says. "My ears are open and I'm looking forward to what tomorrow brings."—Chris Janson, Rolling Stone

The Latest EP

Still untitled, Chris Janson’s second album is set to release this summer. Meanwhile, he has released a new EP named after the new single “Fix a Drink” which features six new singles. Co-produced by Janson and long-time collaborators Chris DuBois and Brett Anderson, the EP focuses on fun, quick tempos, and quirky, clever writing. According to Janson, he is embracing the “Buy me a boat guy” persona in this album.

“Fix a Drink” is the perfect summer anthem, inviting the listener to throw his worries away. Essentially, it recounts things that are out of the narrator’s hands— the political situation, pushy bosses at work and hot summer days— and the only thing that is within his power to fix; a drink. This is Janson’s Hakunamata anthem, one that is inspired by his strong Christian faith and belief in good fortune.

Touring Plans

Janson always performs a combination of solo gigs, while touring with other country artists as well. He is currently doing the same, with tours scheduled with Sam Hunt as well as a few solo concerts in various cities across the US. More concert dates are being announced every day.
