Early Years

Casting Crowns came to life in 1999, in Florida. The group’s notable members included Mark Hall (lead singer/songwriter), Melodee DeVevo (violinist), Hector Cervantes (guitarist) and Juan DeVevo (guitarist). They later moved to Georgia and added a bassist, drummer and keyboardist to the band.
