As is tradition, the celebrated Canadian Music Festival is once again coming to Toronto stringing along with it a host of live performances by some of the most popular artists yet. Also part of the week is the ceremony of honoring significant alternative and independent artists in the yearly Canadian Indies Hall for Fame.
Artists previously welcomed include the band Rough Trade, Martha and her Muffins, Pursuit of Happiness and Parachute Club. The week also offers cultural spotlight to performers from other countries, for instance in 2010 the festival showcased artists from India featuring many South-Asian-Canadian performers like J’sin who played songs from his debut album titled Fatlab.
