Bunbury Music Festival Tickets
The Bunbury Music Festival takes place each year during the month of July. Currently owned and operated by Bunbury Festival, LLC, a Cincinnati-based event management and production company, the musical spectacle welcomes bands from genres of pop, electronic, house, rock, folk, hip hop, alternative and country music. The 2012 Bunbury Music Festival presented a lineup that consisted of bands and artists, Jane’s Addiction, Death Cab for Cutie, Weezer, Passion Pit, Neon Trees, CJ The DJ, Alchemist, Tracy Walker, Greg Mahan, DJ Ivy, Good Old War and Mick Boogie, among several others. The three days festival made its way to Rob O’Connor’s list of "Essential Summer Festivals" making it one of the most anticipated events of the year.
The upcoming festival’s lineup includes artists Tegan & Sara, Billy Wallace, Cake, We Are Scientists, Youngblood Hawke, The Features, Ohio Knife, Civil Twilight, Tim Carr, Joe Purdy and Daap Girls along with many others. The three headlining bands whose performances are spread out on a schedule of three days will be the main attractions of the event. The first headlining band that is expected to perform on the day one of the festival is the indie pop group, Fun.
With its roots set in the city of New York, the trio was formed in 2008. It consists of band members, Jack Antonoff, Andrew Dost and Nate Reuss who were former members of Steel Train, Anathallo and The Format, respectively. The multiple Grammy Award winning band has taken the music industry by storm with their Platinum certified singles "We Are Young", "Carry On" and "Some Nights". Releasing two studio albums; 2009’s Aim and Ignite and 2012’s Some Nights, the group has sold over one million copies in the US and three hundred thousand records in UK. Their sophomore studio album received a ninety percent accumulative score by AbsolutePunk, apart from being awarded a four out of five star rating by critic publications such as Allmusic, Now, Rolling Stone and Sputnikmusic. The band’s most successful track "We Are Young" also became the first multi-member group single since Nickelback’s release "How You Remind Me" to top the Billboard Hot 100 Chart in its debut week. Watch Fun perform some of these most popular releases at the upcoming Bunbury Music Festival.
The other band that will be making its way to the main stage at the second day of the festival is MGMT. The American Psychedelic ensemble comprises of band members Ben Goldwasser, Andrew VanWyngarden, Will Berman, James Richardson and Matt Asti. Formed in 2004, the band was able to sign a deal with Red Ink and Columbia Records in 2006. Releasing three studio albums in 2007, 2010 and 2013, that band was added to Rolling Stone’s 2008 list of "Artist to Watch". They were also named the "Artist of the Day" in 2007 by Spin.com. MGMT enjoys similar success to that of Fun, as they too have received Grammy nominations in 2009 and 2010. Winning the 2010 Grammy Award in the category of "Best Remixed Recording", MGMT will surely give a powerhouse performance. If this wasn’t enough, these two Grammy winning artists will be joined by another mainstream indie rock group, The National.
