Buddy Guy Holmdel Tickets

The rock music industry is largely based on the efforts of amazing guitarists who decided to combine the soft and soulful sound of the blues, with the more hard and gritty sound of rock and roll. Some of the greatest rock bands of the sixties and seventies were formed on this basis, yet none of it would have been possible without the contribution of the legendary Buddy Guy. Over his sixty plus years in the music industry, he has made over seventy studio, live, compilation and collaborative albums, and has managed to win six Grammy Awards as well. Now you can see him live on stage. Just get your Buddy Guy Holmdel tickets and enjoy his show, live at the PNC Bank Arts Arena.

There haven’t been a lot of people that can claim they almost singlehandedly changed the course of music industry history. However Buddy Guy is one artist that is part of this exclusive club of influential musicians and he got there by combining the two most popular genres in music together; the blues and rock and roll.

Tune the guitar

George Guy was born in 1936 and spent most of his early years trying to learn to play the guitar with the help of a diddley bow. He soon moved on to an actual guitar and when he turned twenty one, he decided to move to Chicago for its rising blue music scene. There he met the great Muddy Waters, who took him under his wing and influenced his latter guitar playing style.

Waters influence was instrumental in getting Guy his first recording contract, yet due to few problems with his recording studio, he struggled to release anything of note. His first album was a collaborative effort with the Junior Wells Band, called “Hoodoo Man Blues” and it was released in 1965.

A solo to remember

Guy was an excellent guitarist for which he won several awards and honors throughout his career. He has won six Grammy Awards to date and was inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of Fame in 2005. However, even after all these accomplishments and over sixty years in the business, he shows no signs of slowing down. If you get your Buddy Guy Holmdel tickets soon, you too can enjoy his show, live at the PNC Bank Arts Center.
