Bryan Ferry Tickets
Bryan Ferry is an English musician and songwriter. He is based in the United Kingdom. He was one of the few people who created Roxy Music. In fact, it was with his friends with whom he created the group back in 1970. He was the lead vocalist of the band and they produced some memorable hits including one which narrowly missed out on topping the charts; Virginia Plain.
In 1973, Bryan Ferry had begun performing solo acts and come out with cover versions of a couple of different songs, both of which achieved quite a lot of success and reached the UK Top 5. Despite disbanding in 1976 to pursue his career, they reunited in 1979 to come up with three more albums. Two of these albums; Flesh + Blood and Avalon were instant hits in the UK and were successful enough to reach the number one spot on UK album charts. During this phase, they also released their only ever single; Jealous Guy, which reached the top spot on charts and was dedicated to the memory of the recently murdered John Lennon.
During 1984, Bryan Ferry had continued on with his solo career and recorded his sixth album titled Boys and Girls which was released the next year. The album was an immediate success and became extremely popular. It went on to top out at the number one spot on UK album charts and was also his biggest selling album in the United States. It was his only album to achieve so many things and remained in the charts for almost over a year. After going on a small hiatus, the singer returned in 1999 with the album As Time Goes By. The album also received considerable success and as a result, won Bryan Ferry his first Grammy Award Nomination. He then went on to reunite with his fellow Roxy Music musicians in 2001 but stated that the band would not be recording any new music. They do, however, perform together on tours and concerts around the globe.
In the early parts of 2007, he released his next album which was titled Dylanesque. This album, as the name suggests, was in the honor of the music legend Bob Dylan. The album went to reach the Top 10 charts in the UK and peaked out at the number five spot. It also went on to reach the Top 10 charts in Sweden. The following year, he received the award of being a Broadcast Music Incorporated icon at the awards held in London.
