The band has won a number of awards and nominations over the year. They biggest achievement was when they won the First American's in the Arts Awards for Best Outstanding Performance (1999) for their album One Nation. Some of the other awards they have received include the Native American Music Award for Group of the Year in 2002, Best Instrumental CD in 2002 and 2003 for Star Album, Best Compilation CD for their collection album, for Duo or Group of the Year in 2006 for Tatanka, Duo or Group of the Year again in 2007 and Best New Age CD in the same year. In 2007, they also received a nomination for Aboriginal People's Choice Award for Best Instrumental CD but unfortunately did not win.
