About Brett Young

Brett Young is a musician who excels at blending contemporary pop with modern country. Born in California, Young was a teenager when he started learning to play guitar and developed love for music. Despite the fact that he was given a lot of confidence early in his life, he was still inclined more towards sports than music. He was an active sports player during his school life but due to an elbow injury, he started exploring music again. Influenced by Gavin DeGraw, Brett started penning down songs and making music. Later in 2007, he released his independent debut record which was a self-titled EP.

Young released his sophomore independent record titled, Make Believe in 2011 and On Fire in 2013. He became famous and started performing at different prestigious venues of California including Viper Room, the Roxy and many more. Young gradually started to bring the country side of his music to perspective. He moved to Nashville from California and celebrated it with an EP named, Country in California. His tunes attracted a lot of attention and one of the famous labels of California, ‘Big Machine Label Group’ signed Young. He released his self-titled EP as his debut for the record in 2016. Later in 2018, he released another album titled, Ticket to L.A. The second album included the song Chapters which featured Gavin DeGraw.
