There is good news for the fans of Brand New, as the hit musical group is all ready to charm their fans with a string of musical performances in the coming few weeks. Brand New is currently comprised of five very talented musicians who together started the group in early 2000 after having known each other for many years due to similar musical associations. Jesse Lacey can easily be called the front man of the group because he is the lead singer for the band in addition to being the main lyricist for the group. He also plays guitar for the group and is their chief guitarist. Vincent Accardi is the other main guitarist for the band. Garrett Tierney is the bassist for the group and Brian Lane is the drummer with Derrick Sherman manning the keyboard and occasionally the guitar for the band. Together these five men are responsible for creating some much hit and popular tunes fans of rock music have heard in recent times. And when they come out to perform at live events and music concerts, their audience simply goes mad and it is very difficult to say which of these five boys is more popular with fans than the rest.

Before coming together to form Brand New, Jesse Lacey, Brian Lane and Garrett Tierney knew each other from their brief time on The Rookie Lot. The three of them were members of the post hard rock band. But because of creative differences and ideological issues between the band members, the group couldn’t stay together and disbanded soon after its formation. But Jesse, Brian and Garrett continued to rehearse together even after the split of the band. Vincent Accardi soon joined them in the capacity of a guitarist and the four of them together formed Brand New in 2000. They started making regular appearances at the local venues in and around New York. In those early years they gained popularity through performing joint gigs with bands like Midtown and Glassjaw. Because of their individual associations with different bands in the past, they were never the new boys of rock for their fans, and enjoyed significant fan following. Because of this added advantage the boys were able to sign up with Triple Crown Records just after their second live show. 

Brand New self released a four song demo tape before releasing their first studio album. Their debut album Your Favorite Weapon was released in 2001 and was produced by the longtime friend of the boys Mike Sapone. The central theme running through almost all the songs of this album is post breakup angst towards ex girlfriends. Upon its release the album received very favorable reviews from critics leading to commercial success for the group. A lot of songs from this album are references to elements of pop culture. The opening single The Shower Scene is a reference to the cult horror film Psycho, Jude Law and a Semester Abroad is a tribute to the famous Hollywood actor and Seventy Times 7 is a story from the Bible which the boys used in reference to a fight between good friends Jesse Lacey and John Nolan of Taking Back Sunday.  Other hit songs from the album are Last Chance to Lose your Keys, Sudden Death in Carolina and Failure by Design.
 
The moderate success of their debut album was followed with an even bigger achievement when their second album Deja Entendu was released in 2003. The album since its release has achieved gold status in the United States and has sold more than 500,000 copies. As opposed to their first album their second outing received more time, focus and concentration from all the band members. A major chunk of the album was completed when the boys were touring different countries and promoting their debut album, so they got a chance to get together and work on this album away from the distractions of their daily routine. Some of the more popular numbers from the second album by Brand New are Sic Transit Gloria... Glory Fades, I Will Play My Game Beneath the Spin Light and others.
 
At the upcoming concert featuring Brand New the fans will get to hear different hit songs from their four studio albums. The band released two more albums since the release of their second album. Their last album Daisy was released in 2009 and before that their third album The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me was released in 2006.
