The band has sold more than 31 million albums to date and judging by its live audience that span generations, it has certainly stood the test of time.

The American rock band Boston achieved most of its success during the 70s and 80s. Led by the multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter Tom Scholz, the band has its classic rock numbers on every fan’s playlist. In the US alone, Boston has sold over 31 million records and despite being in the industry for 39 years, their popularity continues to rise. Although several members have come and gone, the band hasn’t lost its appeal and is still on the go, composing incredible music. Boston’s current lineup includes Curly Smith, Gary Pihl, Jeff Neal, Kimberley Dahme, Tracy Ferrie, Tommy DeCarlo and the frontman,Tom Scholz.

Hailed as one of the best arena rock bands, Boston was essentially the vehicle of studio wizard and guitarist Scholz. He had been a fan of rock music all through his teens and started writing songs when he was in college. After graduation, he started composing his own album and came up with 12 tracks. He joined hands with the vocalist and now the deceased member, Brad Delp and recorded demos. Their effort earned them a deal with Epic Records and in 1976 Boston treated the rock music lovers to the hit self-titled album. Becoming one of the fastest-selling debut albums in history, “Boston” produced hit singles like Long Time, More Than a Feeling and Peace of Mind. All three songs made it to the Billboard 100 and remained there for a long time. The band held the record of best-selling pop debut album till 1986, when it was eventually broken by Whitney Houston.

A perfectionist, it took Tom Scholz more than two years to produce Boston’s sophomore album “Don't Look Back”. Even though it topped numerous music charts, Scholz wasn’t satisfied with the results and promised an even better third album. The interval between second and third record was a long one and the fans had to wait for eight years. During this time, Scholz was also fighting a case in court against Epic Records, who claimed that the producer had renege the contract by taking a lot of time between releases. It took Tom seven years to win the case and in 1994 returned with a bang with “Walk On”. It peaked at number seven on Billboard 200 and produced the hit single I Need Your Love. In 2002, “Corporate America” hit the shelves and it introduced the newest member, Dahme. The album found reasonable success and featured Kimberley’s powerful vocals in the track With You.

“Life, Love & Hope” is Boston’s latest record and it has once again taken the fans by storm. Listeners are treated to incredible vocal harmonies blended with the signature juggernaut guitar tone. Tom finally makes his debut as a singer in this album and has performed the song Love Got Away. Cascading acoustic guitar along with fast paced solos and adrenalized synthesizers has made the track album’s highlight. You can now enjoy the live version as Boston will be playing the track in its upcoming tour. With Boston the Band tickets you can witness dramatic keyboard sequences orchestrated by Tom Scholz, along with the powering vocals by Tommy DeCarlo and Kimberley Dahme.

Boston is one of the most famous bands in the country and has garnered millions of followers everywhere. They are now out on tour which commenced in April, 2015. The road trip is scheduled to take the group all over the US and will also feature some other prominent acts as well, including Kansas the band. The tour started in Tuscaloosa on April 30th and will go on till the end of August, when the band plays its last show in the Kansas City.
