Formed in 2003 in Ocala, Florida, A Day to Remember (ADTR) is a metal core/ pop punk band, that has established itself in the new wave of pop punk music. The band has a unique sound, which amalgamates the pop punk genre with metal core music, thereby setting ADTR apart from their contemporaries. The All American Rejects’ History

The All American Rejects came into existence when Nick Wheeler and Tyson Ritter became friends in high school. Based in Stillwater, Oklahoma, the initial lineup in 1999 comprised Ritter on vocals and guitars, Wheeler playing drums and Jesse Tabish on lead guitar and backing vocals. Experimenting with elements of pop-punk and rock music, the newly formed band released an EP in 2001. The independent release titled ‘Same Girl, New Songs’ consisted of 10 original compositions that caught the attention of executives at the Doghouse Records. The All American Rejects gained worldwide acclaim in 2002 with the release of its self-titled studio album. The top 25 release comprised  the hit single ‘Swing, Swing.’ The album was certified gold in Canada and platinum in the US.

The All American Rejects Opens for Blink-182

The bandbecame a worldwide phenomenon with its second studio album. Titled ‘Move Along’, the number 6 (Billboard 200 and Top Rock Albums) release featured the band’s most successful singles to date i.e. ‘It Ends Tonight,’ ‘Move Along’ and ‘Dirty Little Secret.’ Two more studio albums and 6 EPs followed that helped All American Rejects sell over tenmillion copies globally. Blink-182 is a California-based rock band formed in 1992. The initial lineup of the band comprised Tom DeLonge as the vocalist, Scott Raynor as the drummer and Mark Hoppus playing bass. Currently, Hoppus is the only original band member part of Blink-182. He is joined by Matt Skiba on guitars and Travis Barker playing the drums. ADTR and their unique fusion of the pop punk and metal core genres created quite a stir in the industry. Band Members

A Day to Remember is a five member outfit featuring vocalist Jeremy McKinnon, rhythm guitarist Neil Westfall, lead guitarist Kevin Skaff, bassist Joshua Woodard and drummer Alex Shelnutt. Two of the band’s founding members, Tom Denny and Bobby Scruggs have both quit the band, yet the new lineup continues to impress fans and A Day to Remember San Diego tickets are in demand.


A Day to Remember’s discography features five studio albums, three video albums, three extended plays and nine singles. The band’s most famous record to date has been their third album, Homesick, which peaked at number twenty one on the Billboard 200 and was a number one hit on the Independent Albums chart.

“What Separates Me from You”, their fourth album, was certified gold and became the band’s first album to reach the top fifteen of the Billboard 200. ADTR’s last album, Common Courtesy, was released in 2013 and was a number one hit on the UK Rock and Metal Albums chart and the Billboard Hard Rock Albums chart. In March 2016, the group released “Paranoia”, their first single in two years and later hinted that a new album was in the works.
