In 1986, Todd Park Mohr, Brian Nevin, Rob Squires and Jeremy Lawton came together to form Big Head Todd and the Monsters. In the 1980’s when alternative rock was gaining popularity, Big Head Todd and the Monsters made their debut with Another Mayberry. While traces of jazz, country, folk and blues can be identified in some of their songs, the band is primarily an alternative rock band.

Over the span of their solid twenty eight year career, they have released fourteen studio albums and various live albums. Albums like Beautiful World and Rocksteady and singles Bittersweet, Broken Hearted Savior, Circle and Boom Boom became chart toppers. The band enjoyed massive praise for their relaxed rock music.

This year, the band is back with their critically acclaimed album Black Beehive. Incorporating jazz and blues into their inherently rock sound, the band has created an album that came as a pleasant surprise for many of its fans.
