Bianca Del Rio Tickets
Bianca Del Rio fans would know that she is sassy and ruthless on stage. She brings a shrewd honesty to her standup, which endears her to the audience. The drag queen first rose to fame after winning RuPaul’s reality show “Drag Race” and has since toured the world with multiple stand-up tours, made two feature films and worked with the late (great) Joan Rivers. In 2018, she is bringing her “Blame it on Bianca” tour around the globe. Many cities in the U. are a part of this itinerary as well and Bianca Del Rio tickets are already selling like hot cakes.
Bianca Del Rio is a stage-name and persona adopted by seasoned comedian Roy Haylock. He first featured this drag queen comedienne in the reality television program “Drag Race” produced by RuPaul. Not only has she won this competition, she has also become of the most recognizable acts from the show. Now, Del Rio is an international superstar who tours the world with her hilarious stand-up tours. She refers to herself as a “clown in a gown” and takes pride in being nasty. The comedian takes after her role model and idol, the great Joan Rivers, who always spoke her mind. In fact, Del Rio was described as the “Joan Rivers of the drag world” by the New York Times.
Since winning the 6th season of “Drag Race”, Bianca has completed two feature films, titled “Hurricane Bianca” (1 and 2) and recorded a comedy special “Rolodex of Hate”.
Del Rio and Joan Rivers
Del Rio has often cited Joan Rivers as one of her inspirations. Things came full circle when the legendary comedian invited Del Rio for her series “In Bed with Joan”. The seventeen-minute episode is the second-most watched episode of the series as their quick-witted chemistry is undeniable. According to Del Rio, the filming of the episode went up to an hour because the two simply lost track of time while holding an incredibly funny conversation. Since Rivers’ passing, fans of comedy have looked towards Del Rio to carry the torch forward, and the comic has tried her best to do so.
Rolodex of Hate
“Rolodex of Hate” is Bianca Del Rio’s comedy special on Vimeo which is the ideal setting to enjoy her brand of comedy. The whole episode is simply her ranting about different things that appear on an actual rolodex. It is cathartic, insanely funny and shows the comedian’s range in constantly coming up with topics to be bothered by.
Roy Haylock identifies as a gay man and therefore he has used his comedic platform to advocate for diversity, taking care to not sound preachy in the process. His feature film Hurricane Bianca is one such example. He adopts his drag queen persona Bianca Del Rio in this film as well. It tells the story of a male teacher (played by Haylock) who is kicked out of the school because of his sexual orientation. The teacher disguises himself as a woman (Bianca) and returns to the school to avenge his wrongful termination. While the movie is light and fun, it reflects on societal stereotypes and prejudices.
Hurricane Bianca is produced by Ryan Mathieu Smith and is funded by Del Rio’s loyal fans. Indiegogo raised funds for this movie and they were so successful, that the sequel Hurricane Bianca 2 was able to be produced as well.
Blame it On Bianca
In the tense and divisive socio-political climate of 2017 and 2018, Bianca Del Rio has announced her “Blame it On Bianca” world tour. The title of the tour is inspired by political events, focusing on how Del Rio and drag Queens in general are considered outsiders. Del Rio is not only breaking stereotypes but also giving her viewpoints on current debates. Her tour will take her to Australia, the UK, Singapore, Hong Kong and also the U.S throughout 2018. Bianca Del Rio tickets are in high demand, as fans cannot wait to ‘blame it on Bianca’.
