Founded in 2000, Between the Buried and Me is a quintet based in North Carolina. The members of the band include Thomas Giles Rogers Jr. on vocals, Paul Waggoner and Nick Fletcher on guitar, and Jason King on bass. The name of the band is taken from "Ghost Train," a song by Counting Crows. Within a matter of just thirteen years, the band has successfully established itself as a popular death metal act which is best known for its dynamic musical styles that keep flowing from thrash metal into death metal sounds.
Their discography includes a total of six studio albums, a cover album, a live CD and an EP. The first self-titled album of the band was released under Lifeforce Records in 2000. From 2003-2009, the next four albums were released under Victory Records. In 2011, the band shifted to Metal Blade to release its EP titled "The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues." Their latest album "The Parallax II: Future Sequence," which is also their first conceptual album, was also released by Metal Blade in 2012.
