Hailing from North Carolina, Between the Buried and Me is a five member band that keeps on experimenting and creating something unique for their fans. The current members of the band include bassist Dan Briggs, lead guitarist and backing vocalist Paul Waggoner, rhythm guitarist Dustiee Waring, lead vocalist and keyboardist Tommy Giles Rogers and drummer Blake Richardson.
The band was formed in 2000 and released its debut, a self-titled album on Life Force records the same year. Next year, the band’s second studio album "The Silent Circus" came into the stores. Third album was "Alaska" which came after a year’s gap. From 2003 to 2009, all of their albums including "Colors" and "The Great Misdirect" were released with Victory records.
Before releasing their first concept album in 2012, the band had also recorded "The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues" an EP in 2010. Touring since 2006, the band has been a part of many US and UK headlining tours and played with other metal bands like Lamb of God and The Faceless. Recently, the band has been on a tour with Coheed and Cambria.
