The good news is that The Beach Boys are back since 2012 and would be performing live after more than a decade of absence, to commemorate their 50th years on the music scene.
Originally formed by the Wilson brothers in 1961, the Band included Brian Wilson, Dennis Wilson, Carl Wilson their cousin Mike Love and friend Al Jardine. Songwriting maestro Brian Wilson was the genius behind the creation of super hit songs like "Surfer Girl", "California Girls" "Surfin’ Safari "which became cult classics and created a massive fan following, including Ronald Reagan and George H W Bush. One of their most memorable performances, which got recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records, was their landmark performance in front of a crowd of one million people on July 04th 1985 in Philadelphia. They performed in front of another crowd of 750,000 people on the very same day. The Beach boys get their name from what they sing about: romance, surfing and the whole southern Californian beach youth culture.
As Brian Wilson has officially left the Beach Boys in 1988 so the current lineup of the Beach Boys does not include Brian Wilson though, but includes Bruce Johnston, Scott Totten, Randall Kirsch and Mike Love. They have released many multiple award winning singles including "Kokomo", the single which reached the top of the US charts in 1988.
