Arctic Monkeys are a British band that came together in 2002. Hailing from High Green, Sheffield, the band consists of four members. They have primarily been involved in making psychedelic rock and indie rock music. They have released five studio albums, with their latest album having been released this year. The Arctic Monkeys came up with their first album in 2006. The album titled, “Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not”, still holds the record for being the fastest selling debut album by any group or band in the UK. The album also received a Mercury Prize. The band has won five Brit Awards which includes two awards for Best British Group. Although they haven’t won a Grammy Award, they have twice been nominated for it.

Andy Nicholson who was part of the original lineup, left soon after the band released its debut album in 2006.
After the band’s first album went on to reach number thirty four on the Billboard charts in the U.S, they were soon working on their second album, “Favourite Worst Nightmare”. It was released in 2007 and got the first position on the UK Albums Chart. Their successive albums lived up to the success of their past albums.
