Since her father was a member of a gospel quartet, she started as gospel singer for the First Nazareth Baptist Church. As a student she was very bright, writing poetries as well as participating in sports. As much as she loved sports, music was Angela’s passion.

After that she started working with pioneering rap group, Mantronix as well as the famous rock artist Lenny Kravitz .
Not long after that, she formed her own classy R&B group called, Vertical Hold in which she performed as a lead vocalist.
