Amy Grant continued to deliver great performances every year. During the 80s she decided to record a Christmas album which became her trademark work for the holiday season. She wanted to become the first Christian singer who also had success within the contemporary pop music. The change came in 1985, when she released her sixth album “Unguarded”. Some of her fans were surprised by the collaboration of her songwriting with mainstream pop. She became the first Christian singer to have a number one song on the Billboard Top 40 list. Amy Grant has joined many of her fellow artists in their work such as; Peter Cetera, Art Garfunkel, Bill Gaither, Randy Stonehill and many more.

She later expanded her work towards pop music. In 1991, she released “Heart in Motion” which featured “Baby Baby” and “That’s What Love Is For”, her #1 pop tracks on the Billboard Hot 100 list. “Heart in Motion” is her bestselling album which has sold over 6 million copies till date. Whatever the diva has touched turned into gold. Her 1997 album “Behind the Eyes” was her intro to soft-rock. The album was a certified platinum hit. Time and again she created masterpieces in her musical career.

In 2002, she decided to return to gospel music, a change that wasn’t appreciated by her fans. This resulted in her albums not doing so well. Grant’s music lovers did not give up on her. They waited for her to release her next album. She released “Somewhere down the Road” which proved there was no stopping this talented star. In 2007 Grant celebrated her 30^th year in the music industry with the release of her greatest hits album. The magnificent album was released as a single-disc CD along with DVD Features of her music videos and interviews.
 
Later Amy Grant joined the television fraternity and hosted a reality show “Three Wishes” which became a huge hit. Grant has made several television show appearances. In December 2007, she appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show for a holiday special show. She also performed live on The View. She also won $125,000 on “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Rock Star Edition” which she donated to a charity. In 2009, Disney’s California Adventure theme park named Amy Grant as the voice for their techno musical show. In addition, she has also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on September 26, 2006.

In 2009 she announced the release of her book titled “Mosaic: Pieces of My Life So Far”. She preferred it to be a memoir of her song lyrics, poetry, memories and few pictures. Her book launched on the New York Times Best Seller list. Grant continues to pen books from time to time. One of her books is based on her popular Christmas song “Breath of Heaven”.
