America the Beautiful Tickets

America the Beautiful is an orchestra that is inspired from a patriotic song written by Katherine Lee Bates. It was originally a part of the poem, Pikes Peak that was published on the American Independence Day in 1895. Initially titled America, it was later combined with Ward’s music and was renamed America the Beautiful in 1910. Since then, it has been taken up for live performances in a number of orchestras and currently will be performed at Filene Center, Wolf Trap. America the Beautiful tickets are available for the show.

The most popular version of America the Beautiful is the setting of a symphonic orchestra by the late conductor Carmen Dragon. It has been performed over a thousand times on State occasions such as the memorial services for President Ford and also tribute concerts for events like 9/11. Different versions of the song including the ones by Toby Keith, Kenny Rogers and Keith Urban have also made it to the Hot Country Song Charts. It is after the September 11 attacks that the song’s popularity increased to the level that it was sung in addition to the national anthem at many sports events. Also, verses of this poem are often narrated by the celebrities in their shows with reference to any patriotic topic or point being stated. America the Beautiful will be performed as an orchestra conducted by the exceptionally talented Aaron Copland, tribute conductors for George Gershwin and Dave Brubeck.

Aaron Copland is respected as a Dean of American Composers in the music industry. His early influences included Versi, Chopin, Debussy and Russian composers. Later, he was more excited for the post impressionist French music especially that of Ravel, Satie and Rouseel. Also, Copland’s inclination towards Jazz music is evident in his melodies. He is of the view that ‘the impression Jazz music receives in a foreign country is unmatchable to the response in one’s own country.’ He will be conducting America the Beautiful along with Dave Brubeck.

Dave Brubeck is praised in the music industry for having a cerebral and intellectual quality to his compositions. His catchy melodic bits are hard to forget and have made a mark in the music industry for being highly structured and also for using the unusual use of rhythm and form.

George Gershwin compositions will also be conducted at the America the Beautiful orchestra. His melodies are known to cover both classical and popular genres and are widely known. The most notable ones include Porgy and Bess and American in Paris among others.

The event is scheduled to be conducted at the Filene Center at Wolf Trap National Arts of Performing Arts that is well known for running on average, 90 concerts every year. Hosting events since the early seventies, it is among the most preferred venues of the city. Known to accommodate 6800 people, with a comfortable seating arrangement it ensures that the audience enjoys a great view from all directions. Other events on the list for the venue include La Traviata, Falstaff, Aria Jukebox and The Journey to Reims.

America the Beautiful might have been conducted a number of times earlier but this year with the new conductors, it is definitely going to sound different than the previous shows. America the Beautiful tickets are available for sale. Get them as early as you can!
