All for the Hall is a benefit concert arranged annually by a group of country music artists, usually headed by Keith Urban, to promote the funding for Country Music Hall of Fame and the Country Music Museum. It was an effort on the part of the country singers to preserve and promote the legacy of country music. All for the Hall’s very first benefit concert had ended up raising about $500,000, Kyle Young; the director of Country Music Museum had announced it with immense joy, stating it was the most successful fundraising event in the history of the museum. It was then decided to have the concert arranged every year.
2010’s concert had a theme of “Heroes”, as suggested by Urban himself. Each singer that appeared to perform had to choose their personal favorite song by some country music legend of the past, and sing it along with one of his/her own hit. The idea was a great success and audience got to hear some of the classics they would never have heard anywhere else, coming from their favorite singers, gathered on one stage. 2010’s All for the Hall lineup was made up of the famous names of Vince Gill, Alison Krauss, Billy Currington, Martina McBride, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert, Dolly Parton Charley Pride and John Mayer.All for the Hall was originally started in 2005, when the management realized that the funding wasn’t enough to preserve the country music legacy and keep the Hall of Fame going. Keith Urban stepped into the scene in 2009, with his unique ideas for the concert. Urban is an Australian country music singer, born in New Zealand. He has spent most of his professional life in music within the United States, and is today among the most loved country music artists. Urban has released nine studio albums till date, and fifteen of his songs have made it to “U.S. Country Charts”. He has won various Grammy Awards along with a number of Country Music Association Awards.
All for the Hall of 2011 was arranged by the team of devoted country music singers, in collaboration with Urban, in Los Angeles. They managed to entertain the fans with yet another memorable event. The lineup included famous names such as Vince Gill, Sheryl Crow, Zac Brown and Kevin Cronin. The crowd was especially awed and inspired by Zac Brown’s soulful performance that was true to the country music spirit. The concert ended with a combined performance by the five singers.
All for the Hall 2012 concert is planned and ready to be staged. The dates have been finalized and the lineup decided. This year the concert will feature many country music singers and bands, including, Lady Antebellum, The Band Perry, Pistol Annies, Rascal Flatts, Thompson Square, Blue Sky Riders and Diamond Rio. The concert also includes the legendary names of Alison Krauss, Vince Gill, Diamond Rio, Exile, Alabama and Keith Urban himself.
