Collaborations between Queen and Lambert
The first time Queen and Lambert shared the stage was in the American Idol final. Later on in 2012, shortly after the release of Lambert’s second record Trespassing, speculation was rife about a possible joint tour between the two. And it was proven true when they did in fact announce a co-headlining tour the same year. In June Lambert performed with Queen drummer Roger Taylor and guitarist Brian May in Europe followed by shows in Ukraine, Moscow, Poland, Wroclaw and London.
The phenomenal success of the tour led to the two touring again multiple times. Both fans and critics were of the opinion that Lambert’s vocal range and style was most suited for the songs of Queen.
